I never knew I could consider Cable TV my savior

But I realize that I'm getting dumber and dumber, or longing for more intelligent programming than Rochester local news has to offer. I'm not sure which. You decide.

I have the TV on randomly in the background as I do other things, like e-mail, etc. I swore I heard "Flaubert" and my attention immediately turned to the TV as I thought, WHAT? Oh, it was "flow of air" from the weatherman. Sigh. Either he should articulate better or the Cable guy should show up faster. He called about 20 min ago and said he was 20 min away. Hurry, hurry, hurry.

And here, I'm getting super-cheap digital cable -- YAY Time Warner! Bravo, BBC America, here I come! And YAY! I see the van outside. My Cable Jesus arriveth!
